Oh Boy is a black and white German film released on 2012. Director, Jan Ole Gerster, has made his debut in the film industry with this comic film. It is interesting to note, “Oh Boy” is the thesis scheme of the German Film and Television Academy in Berlin.
Tom Schilling plays the central character named Niko Fischer. The film depicts the story of Niko for a single day and single night. Niko is a young and enthusiastic man who has already completed his study and yet has no job.
However, he passes the day with busy hours finding a lot of things to day. The story also reveals the cultural background of Berlin where people from several race come and start to live on. He caught red handed for driving under the influence of alcohol and as a consequence, has to appear before a psychologist for interview.
In spite of his well performance, his driving license got cancelled. Everything began to work wrong for him. Metro ticket machine, ATMs nothing work properly. The incidents are well constricted and intensely woven to create the comic effect successfully.
