What Maisie Knew (2012)

“What Maisie Knew” is a drama film of America. Under the successful direction of David Siegel and Scott McGehee, this film came into the theatre on 2012. Joanna Vanderham, Julianne Moore, Steve Coogan, Onata Aprile, Alexander Skarsgård star the film. The story of the plot is based on the novel of Henry James namely, What Maisie Knew. However, Nancy Doyne and Carroll Cartwright write the screenplay of the movie and make the required adjustment to soothe it in the flavor of the 21st Century.

                   

Susanna and Beale live with each other and have a child in the name of Maisie. Setting back by the middle class status and their attraction to other lovers, they soon separated leaving their only child, Maisie in a great dilemma. They eventually began to start fighting with each other for the custody of Maisie. This is the story of Maisie’s realization of the actual self of her parents.

                       

The film successfully dramatizes the mental dilemma of Maisie on the separation of parents. This film is unveiled on September 2012 at the Toronto International Film Festival 2012.
Millennium Entertainment distributed the film. Though, it did not get the expected success in the commercial aspect, you can watch it learn the psychological dilemma of a child.
