Carry on Jatta is a Punjabi comedy movie released on 2012, directed by Smeep Kang. The movie starred Gippy Grewal and Mahie Gill in lead roles and was noted one of the top Punjabi comedy movies of the year. Jass (Gippy Grewall) meets Mahie (Mahie Gill) at a friend’s wedding and fall in love.

Mahie wants to marry a person who is an orphan because she doesn’t want to handle the interference of in-laws after marriage. Hence, Jass pretends he is an orphan and she falls in love with him. Mahie tells their affair to her brother and he forces them to marry immediately.
Jass marries Mahie without telling his family. After marriage Jass says Mahie to get a place to live and she leases room in Jass’s own home. That is where the real comedy begins! Jass and his friend Honey (Gurpreet Ghuggi) makes up many plans to confuse Jass’s family, so he can live with Mahie in the home without his family finding out. The movie showcases a madcap comedy of errors that finally end with a climax of marital mix ups.
