The movie traces the incident in the year 2001 when police stormed into Armando Diaz, a school in Genoa. In the night time, a raid of more than 300 police officers attacked the journalists and activists, seriously injuring more than 93 and putting another three people in a coma. The movie recreates the happening and showcases the horror and the trauma faced by people in the night. The tragic event displays the perspective of the authorities as well as the protesters and foreign journalists who took the brunt of their brutality in this politically-charged drama. As the 90 activists lodged inside the school, tried to calmly surrender, the police didn't arrest them but instead launched into a vicious and relentless attack.
It was called by critics as the most uncompromising and compelling films of recent history. The real life like scenes captured the attention of the viewers; the movie was presented at the 2012 Berlinale Film Festival where it received the audience award.
