Brave (2012)

Brave is 2012 released American animated fantasy film produced by the Pixar studios and released by Walt Disney pictures. The story was originally conceived by writer and director Brenda chapman. The movie casts the voices of Kelly Macdonald, Julie Walters, Emma Thompson, Billy Connolly, Craig Ferguson, Kevin McKidd, and Robbie Coltrane.

                           

The story is about Merida or Kelly Mc Donald a skilled archer and the reckless daughter of the King Fergus played by Billy Connolly and of Queen Elinor played by Emma Thompson. Determined to shape her own path in life, Merida defies an age-old practice revered by the boisterous lords of the land, the massive Lord MacGuffin or Kevin McKidd, the impolite Lord Macintosh / Craig Ferguson and irritable Lord Dingwall (Robbie Coltrane). Merida's activities unintentionally unleash confusion and fury in their kingdom, and as she turns to a strange old Witch (Julie Walters) for help, she is granted an unfortunate wish. The resultant peril forces Merida to find the meaning of true bravery to undo a horrible curse before it's too late.

                         

Brave premiered at the 2012 Seattle International Festival. The film got a lot of both box office and was also appreciated by viewers. The film won the Academy Award for the Best Animated Film and also the Golden Globe and the BAFTA award for the same category.
