Hijacking (2012)

A Hijacking is a Danish Film released on September 20th 2012 the thriller is written and as well as directed by Tobias Lindholm. The cast includes Soren Mailing Johan Phillip Asbaek, Dar Salim in main roles and others in supporting roles.

                           

In the movie, A Hijacking we see the cargo ship named MV Rozen heading for the harbor when it gets hijacked by some Somalia pirates in the Indian Ocean. Among the men board on the ship, are the ship's cook Mikkel or PilouAsbæk and the engineer Jan or Roland Møller, who along with the rest of the sea boarders are taken as a hostage in a dangerous game of life and death. They demand a ransom of millions of dollars as a psychological drama unravels between the CEO of the shipping company (SørenMalling) and the Somali pirates. It keeps the viewers in suspense throughout the movie.

                           

The film was first released in the on 3rd September 2012 in a Film Festival at Venice and a fortnight later on 20th September 2012. The film was appreciated for its plot and received positive reviews from critics. The film did averagely with the box office, but critics liked the thrill running through the film.
