Wreck-It Ralph (2012)

Wreck-It Ralph released in 2012 is an American animated family comedy movie produced by the Walt Disney studios and Released by Walt Disney pictures. It was written by Rich Moore, famed for Simpson’s episodes. The film features the voices of John C. Reilly, Jack McBrayer, Sarah Silverman and Jane Lynch.


Ralph played by John C. Reilly is tired of always being overshadowed by Fix-It Felix (Jack McBrayer), the hero or star of their game, who every times gets to save the day. However, after years of doing the same thing and seeing all the glory go to Felix, Ralph gets tired of playing the bad guy. He takes the matter into his own massive hands and sets off on a game-hopping journey through the arcade and through every generation of video games to establish he has what it takes to be a hero. 

                       

On his quest, he meets the tough Sergeant Calhoun (Jane Lynch) from the action game Hero's Duty. However, it is the feisty oddball Vanellope von Schweetz (Sarah Silverman) from the candy-coated cart racing game, Sugar Rush, whose world is threatened when Ralph accidentally unleashes a bad enemy that threatens the entire arcade world. He proves in the end that he got what it needs to be a hero. 

Wreck-It Ralph premiered on October 29, 2012 and bagged millions of dollars worldwide. It got both critical and commercial success and received the Academy and Golden globe award for Best Animated Feature Film.
