Matthew C Martino (full name: Matthew Mathetes Chihwai Martino) is a Zimbabwean Entrepreneur, actor, Film Producer and famous Author. He was born in on 27th October, 1992 in Harare, Zimbabwe and later relocated to UK in 2005.
Early life:
After relocating to UK, he joined a drama club at the age of 17, located at Shenfield high school. As per the memoirs released suggested, he had attended University of Essex and London South Bank University although qualification were not mentioned.
His Work:
At a tender age, Matthew started discovering his love for films. He further used is skills and talent to bag roles in movies and gradually producing and directing them. He is best known for his famous book and aviation guide ‘Let’s fly’ released in 2012.He also started an aviation academy known as ‘Lets fly academy’ which was subsequently aspired by many pilots and aviation dreamers worldwide. His second book ‘Go for it’ released in 2013, is aimed towards young entrepreneurs like him, received very good reviews from various other authors, magazines and bloggers.
He always had great passion for aviation which made him publish his pilots guide, he then designed a lets fly app and launched a website for his academy. He also faced a lot of criticism following his double standards revealing that pilots from F5 Air, a private charter firm, let him fly jets for which he didn’t possess any licensing or type ratings.
In 2012, He had setup a production house named ‘DM productions’ which aimed towards creating British films which was gradually changed into a Sales Rep company. He had a casual acting and modelling career but he gradually gave up on the same due to criticism faced on Alan Titchmarsh Show. He also appeared on ITV show during the valentine’s edition as a cupid. His film credits included: Beach Vacancy USA (2011), She Wants Me (2012), Lets Fly Documentary (2013), Tales of the Supernatural (2013), Never Change (2013), Lost Existence and Ortega and His Enemies (2014).
In early 2014, Matthew C Martino was rumoured to be totally surrounded by bankruptcy but however he later confirmed there are no traces of the same and he will continue to invest in films scheduled for this year and beyond. Again in March 2014, he was reported to be returning to acting by Spaced out magazine.
His other interests include golf, football, opera and djing.
His personal life:
He resides with his parents and siblings in Brentwood. He was also linked to politics in the early 2014 but gradually his closed ones called it off. He has an incredible love for suits, he said in an interview in 2012. He also enjoys watching films although he admitted that he hates watching films produced by his own production house.
