The Citizen (2012)

The citizen is an American film written by Sam Kadi, Samir Younis and Jazmen Brown, Sam Khadi directed this film. Agnes Bruckner, Khaled El Nabawy, Cary Elwes , and Rizwan Manji starred in this dramatic movie. The Citizen incorporates many true stories of the triumphs and difficulties that are been faced by the Arab Americans in the American history.

                      

The story flows through the life of an Arab migratory who accidently gains the American Green card drawing for luck to become an American national. He arrives in the New York City on 10th September of the year 2001, the crucial day ahead the September 11th terrorist attack. The events happened on the day of terrorist attack change the struggles he faces on his path to live out his American dream of life. The problems faced by the Arab Americans after the terrorist attack on September 10th of 2001.

                     

The director Sami Kadi is inspired by the true events happened in the American soil, and gathered much information regarding his story. All these researches have been transformed for the script of his story. His debut film said to be a gripping narration of courage, love, and featuring the qualities of a true Citizen.
