Shadow Dancer (2012)

Shadow Dancer is an Irish British drama movie released in the year 2012. The movie is directed by James Marsh who also happens to write the movie script. The movie was premiered at 2012 Sundance Film Festival.

The storyline is gripping; the main character Collette McVeigh is the Republican living in Belfast with her IRA brothers and mother. When Collette is arrested for her active part in aborted IRA bomb plan in the London city, she is given a choice to choose imprisonment for twenty five years and lose everything including her son, or become an informer spying her own family. The story plot is subtle with great twist that keeps the audience in tact in their seats.

The movie is thought provoking, tense thriller that is bolstered by the sensitive direction by James Marsh. The star casts have given a terrific performance and the movie received good number of positive reviews from audiences. The movie ratings were good calling it emotionally charged and intelligent spy drama flick. A short film though but a sensible one that stands exclusive amongst its peers. If you have missed watching this movie on the big screen, the film is widely available on DVDs at offline as well as online stores.
