Seeking a friend for the end of the world (2012)

Seeking a friend for the end of the world is a full time comedy drama film starred by Steve Carrel and Keira Knightley. Lorene Scafaria was well established in her directorial debut in this film. The film gives a tag line that ‘The end is coming soon’. The other costars acted on this film are Melanie Lynskey, Nancy Carrel, Leslie Murphy and Adam Brody.

                        

The Movie unfolds with a proclamation that a 70 mile asteroid mentioned ‘Matilda’ is on a collision course towards our planet Earth, and in a few weeks the world will come to an end. The bad news is that the spacecraft Deliverance has went wrong on the mission to destroy the asteroid. In this time of the coming catastrophe one man, Steve carrel decides to expend his time looking for his long lost love from the time of high school. The movie passes through the extraordinary situations that are happening through the life of Steve and Keira Knightley.

                       

The movie was received mixed follow-ups from critics. The film was nominated for many film awards like Golden trailer award, People’s choice award and Saturn award. The performance of Steve carrel and Keira Knightley was a worthy one for this movie.
