Mud is an American movie that was released on 2012. Jeff Nichols superbly directs the movie based on the coming of age drama. Interestingly, he also writes the story of the film. Reese Witherspoon, Tye Sheridan, Matthew McConaughey, and Sam Shepard star the film.

This film is produced by Aaron Ryder, Lisa Maria Falcone, and Sarah Green, whereas it is distributed worldwide by Lionsgate and Roadside Attractions. David Wingo composed the music of the film. Adam Stone controlled the cinematography of the film that was edited by Julie Monroe.
The film was selected for the Palme d'Or at the 2012 Cannes Film Festival. Interestingly, it was broadcast on the Sundance Film Festival in January 2013 and get huge feedback. On 10th May 2013, the film released on the theatres of the worldwide, however, before that the film was released on April 26, 2013.
