Gabbar Singh (2012)

Gabbar Singh is a 2012 released Telegu action movie directed by Harish Shankar and is produced by Bandla Ganesh. The lead casts include the likes of Pawan Kalyan and Shruti Haasan and with others in supporting roles. The film is an adaptation of the 2010 hit Hindi movie Dabanng.

                           

In the film, we see Ventakata Raman Naidu as a young boy who is not treated well by his step father he from then on renames himself as Gabbar Singh, the antagonist character or the popular film Sholay. He runs away from the family but is father catches up and sends him to boarding school and years later we see him chasing goons as a cop. The story is about him and his heroics in fighting with the evils of the society. We get a picture of his love interest and his love life as well as his battle with the gangsters.

                            

The film was the highest grossing film in the Telegu Film industry and broke many box office records. It got rave reviews from critics and the movie going audience loved it. The film was also nominated and selected for various Indian awards.
