The Perks of Being a Wallflower (2012)

Stephen Chbosky presents his novel The Perks of being a Wallflower as a film adaption in this American teen comedy, being the writer-director for this movie. Emma Watson, Logan Lerman and Ezra Miller are playing the characters of Sam, Charlie and Patrick respectively. It’s a high school comedy where Charlie is a very shy freshman of the year at the high school. He makes friends with two of his seniors Sam and Patrick, who rush him to a high school dance and a house party thereafter.

The film has certain awards to its credits for the best adapted screenplay, best supporting actor/actress etc. at various award festivals. In Hollywood Film Festival, Ezra Miller won the Spotlight Award for his performance.

The entire film was shot in and around Pittsburgh. In June 2011 it began from Pittsburgh’s South Hills, then going on to Pittsburgh metropolitan area, Peters Township High School, South Park etc.

Various scenes are shot within the city. The movie more of less comes like a travelers’ guide for people who are planning a trip to Pittsburgh. It is a true fact that one should know about the place he or she is planning to visit so as to look around all near places and explore well.
