OMG: Oh My God (2012)

OMG: Oh My God is 2012 Indian satirical drama and comedy film directed by Umesh Shukla. It’s a copy of the Australian film the man who sued god. The film stars Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal in the leading roles along with Mithun Chakraborty in a vital role.

The film tells the story of Kanji Mehta, an atheist running an antique shop. To him, god and religion are no more than a business proposition. Kanji Mehta buys old looking religious idols, which he generally sells as 'antique' idols at double or triple, and sometimes even 10 times the original price. Well, it’s the people’s faith that he exploits. The life has gone on for kanji and his family like this, and would have gone smoothly for him in the near future, but for that single day, when a slight tremor of an earthquake shakes the city.

The earthquake itself does not cause any harm to anyone except for only one shop in the entire city... Kanji's shop. He goes to file a lawsuit against god and the comedy takes more shape with his encounters with God.

The film story line was based on a Gujarati stage play, was appreciated by all and was a super hit grosser. Made on a small budget, it made a lot of money with the box office and got positive response from all over.
