Family Way (2012)

Family way is a 2012 Netherland comedy romance packed film written by Kim Van Kooten and directed by Joram Lursen. The film was picked up by Tokapi films in 2012 starring Carice Van Houten, Thijs Romer, Benja Bruijning, Jacob Derwig and Martine Bijl.

                           

The movie tells us about the present situation and the living style of De Roover family. The family consists of Winnie De Roover, her husband Rutmer De Roover, his brother Charlie, their brother in law Dick and so many. The present situation is that the De Roover family has ended up at a crucial point of no coming back in their lives. They have to take the most important choices that they are needed of. There are several needs such as Winnie wants a child, rutmer want to get in touch with his feelings, his buddy Charlie doesn’t want to take any obligations.

                         

The movie unfolds the chain family system existed on the countryside of Netherland. The film was shot at several locations such as Efteling, Kaatsheuvel, Noord-Brabant and Netherlands. It’s been nominated for several film award functions all over the globe and awarded Golden Calf for the best supporting actor, and won the Rembrandt award in the year 2012.

3 (2012)

3 is an Indian Tamil romantic psychological thriller film released in the year 2012. The film was directed by Aiswarya Dhanush who made her debut career as a director. The film was accompanied by the excellent performance of Dhanush who also plays the role as co-producer of the movie. Other costars that starred in the movie are Prabhu, shruthi Hassan, Rohini and Bhanupriya.

                             

The story opens with the death of the hero Dhanush, and his wife realizes that her husband did not die naturally. She recalls her memory though her teenage life when they met each other at 12th grade. Dhanush is a rich guy who always roams with his friends and after seeing shruthi he fell in love with her, and the usual Indian style of romance is visualized which ends on marriage. The movie then returns to reality by finding a suicide note from Dhanush’s coat. He was suffering from bipolar disorder that resulted in his death was finally revealed to shruthi.

                          

The movie gained huge anticipation due to the viral marketing of the song ‘why this kolaveri di’. The film got many awards for best lyricist, play back singer and critics’ awards. The film passes through a series of incidents showing real love and friendship.

Smashed (2012)

Smashed is an American drama movie written by Ponsoldt and Susan burke, directed by James Ponsoldt. Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Aaron Paul have done the lead roles in the dramatic movie. The movie was picked up by Sony Pictures and released on the year 2012.the other costars are Octavia Spencer, nick offerman and Bree turner.

                       

The story unfolds the life of a married couple whose attachment is built on the mutual love of alcohol. Mary and Aaron played the role of Kate and Charlie Hannah in the movie. Kate and Aaron are in the hands of alcoholic consumption for years, and that’s what their love is built on. But finally Kate realizes that she is completely out of control from this addiction. With the help of a friend she begins to conquer her addictions. But the side of Charlie was completely different. The way she manages to completely rip off her addiction and rebuild her family life was beautifully shown in the movie.

                       

The film premiered at the Sundance film festival in the year 2012, and Won the US Dramatic award for the Excellence in the Independence film producing.

Beyond Outrage (2012)

In order to say, the story Beyond Outrage plays exactly like an additional toe hours of outrage. Directed and screen written by Takeshi Kitano is a major hit in Japan and the most favorite movie among the fans of Takeshi Kitano. Here the movie begins with two anti-corruption detectives examining the discovery of human dead bodies recovered from a car from the bottom of a harbor.

Resembling the few surviving characters of 2010, the Japanese action movie makes it cool and smooth with a steady and tightened grip till the end of the story. Being the most violent and appreciated movie of the year, it is unmistakably a work of the director himself who felt to make it in a more impressive way. It was nominated for best violence movie with classical feel.

Sinister (2012)

The movie Sinister directed by Scott Derrick son is a mysterious story of Darkness that opens with four people with hoods over their heads and noses around their necks. It is an undeniable horror story with best performance by Ethane Hawke and Juliet Rylance adding enough human interest in order to give depth to this horror. In the story, Ethan Hawke plays an introverted driven man who completed a bestselling real crime book long ago and looks for success.

                             

The film mainly focuses on Ellison ho spends much time in scrutinizing the 8mm movie that disturbingly show the murder scenes of other families. In fact Derrickson and Co-writer C.Robert Cargill have motivated Ellison in required way to do the things in a real way that makes every scene scary and keeps you on edge. It was hit at the box office with collection in the initial days and brought it to number one spot in thrillers.

Populaire (2012)

Populaire is a feature length debut starring Deborah Francois, Roman Duris, Shaun Benson, Berenice bejo directed by Regis Roinsard. The story is about a boy, a type writer and a girl which is an Oscar wining piece. It is a romantic comedy to the underappreciated Hollywood Movies of 1950’s with a marvelous feeling for the textures of Technicolor.

           

 “Populaire” puts the conventions of romantic comedy into the context of a little known and long bygone sport which is a competitive speed typing. The movie does not announce it sports theme instantly but expresses about the impressive typing skills.

                              

The viewer’s really over the story and feels breathlessly excited during some scenes. But thanks to the debut director Roinsard who presents the story in a very interesting way with expert technical contributions. In fact, Rosinard encapsulates the 1950 dreams to become an independent woman and gains recognitions. Sometimes, the movie feels like Rosinard’s love letter for liberation of women. It received hit at the box office and many people enjoyed it with good ratings and reviews.

Suskind (2012)

The wall (2012)



The wall is an Austrian drama film which is scripted and directed by the genius Julian Polsler in the year of 2012. The movie was grounded on the novel ‘Die Wand’ by the author Marlen Haushofer. The story was adapted by Julian Polsler and Martina Gedeck played the crucial character.

The wall is about a woman who visits a hunting lodge in Austrian Alps with her friends. While her friends walk away to nearby village by keeping her alone.  The woman inexplicably realized herself cut off from all human touch when an invisible, dogged wall abruptly surrounds the countryside. 

She was only accompanied by her loyal Dog Lynx; the dramatic movie went through a series of mysterious world and encounters and she spend next 3 years living in isolation by looking after her animals and trying out surviving. The story continues through her report writing about the experiences that faced by her and her animals. All were portrayed in a well dramatic way, which everyone’s mind gets shaken.

The wall film was shot on the location of Salzkammergut region in Austrian Alps and got many awards and chosen as the Austrian entry for Best Foreign Language movie at the 86th Academy Awards.

John Carter (2012)



John carter is an American Science fiction and adventure oriented film directed by Andrew Stanton in the year 2012.the film was produced by the famous production team Walt Disney Pictures. The Movie is bases on ‘A Princess of Mars’, the first book in the ‘Barsoom’ series of novels by Edgar Rice Burroughs. Movie portraits the interplanetary adventure of john carter, casted by actor Taylor Kitsch. Other stars that are starred in the movie were Lynn Collins, Willem Dafoe, Mark strong.


John Carter, a civil veteran try to live a normal life was asked to join army. But he refuses, and he is locked up. He escaped and chased by some Indians while he entered in to a cave. He found a medallion, when he touches it, he find himself in a strange place in mars. The adventure of john carter and some creatures which makes the freedom of mars was excellently ` by the team. The exceptional talent and skill of john carter is portrayed in a perfect manner.

It was seen a box office hit by this film John carter, and accepted by every people including children, the adventurous journey and action sequences in the movie throughout mars and the earth was exceptionally awesome.

A Company Man (2012)



A company man is a South Korean thriller action film directed by Sang- yoon-Lim.  So Ji sub, Le Mi yoen, Kim Dong –Jun and Kwak Do-Won are starring the film. The film shows the real story of an assassin who turned into a normal man after he fell in love with a single mother and thereby he quits his job. The problems faced by him after this decision was featured in the film.

Like any white collar worker, So-Ji sub gets into a suit of clothes and tie except his job is an assassin.  One Clarence Day he hires a job furnishing with a person, who is he to wipe out afterwards.  By doing a favor for his job partner, so- Ji Sub meets his partner’s mother and got transferred into a normal afterward with the effect of love from the single mother. After that incident he failed to accomplish his job as an assassin, which was later found by the company and he is hunted down by his former leaders.

From the very start to the climax of the film, this is yet another good example of the Korean way of making movies. The film accomplished 1 million admissions 2 weeks after its release.

Sleep Walk with Me (2012)

Sleep walk with me is a standup comic in which the protagonists suffer from REM behavior disorder. It is written and directed by Mike Birbiglia along with co-director Seth Barrish. The film was premiered at Sundance Film Festival and achieved Best of Next Audience award.

                    

The story is based on truth in which there is one man show performed at the Bleecker Street theatre in New York City. From its first moments, there is a specific relationship between the audience and Mike Birbiglia who fails to express his feelings about his girlfriend and his delayed career, his anxiety that comes out in a funny way and faces dangerous sleepwalking incidents.

                   

The movie takes a kind of crazy inflexibility for an aspiring humorist comedian to undergo the dirty humiliations of life on the bottom rung of the professional ladder. In fact the strongest thread of the movie is the matte’s worst sleeping disorders that endanger his safety. And the most thrilling part is that he has weird dream about his jumping from the second- floor hotel window.
