The Iceman is an American crime thriller released in 2012. Ariel Vromen directed the film based on the life infamous hitman Richard Kuklinski. The film casts Michael Shannon, Chris Evans., David Schwimmer, Winona Ryder, Ray Loitta, and Danny A. Beckaser in main roles with others in supporting roles.

The movie is inspired by actual events, and traces the life of the infamous contract killer Richard Kuklinski in his early days, in the mob life, till the time he is arrested for killing more than 100 men. In the movie, we see him living the American dream as a good husband and father, but in reality Kuklinski is a ruthless contract killer.
Although he is a ruthless person, he has a good heart and principles like he never kills a woman or a child. His relationship with the mobsters goes wrong due to certain issues, and he has to face consequences thereafter. When he finally gets arrested in 1986, his wife or daughters didn’t have a clue about the real person he was.
The film got positive reviews from critics, though it did not make much of a mark in the box office. The film was released in the Film festival circuit earlier and was later released in US cinemas on May 17th 2012.
