War Witch (2012)

The start of the movie, War Witch, is such that you will find it hard to resist viewing it for the next eighty minutes. The movie commences by showing an African village that is raided by rebels. A young girl of the village is offered a machine gun and is forced to shoot her parents. Just Imagine! Truly, War Witch is a rare movie that relates about child soldiers in Africa. You can expect to witness the same through the eyes of a twelve years old girl, Komona.

                      

You will remain encouraged in learning that War Witch, directed by Kim Nguyen, was considered as the top film at 2013 Canadian Screen Awards. This film has also been successful in winning as many as ten different awards. Among the many awards that have been won, include; best supporting actor, best picture, best actress and best director.

                         

The movie, War Witch, stars Alain Lino Mic Eli Bastien, Serge Kanyinda and Rachel Mwanza. This film has been able to make an astonishing 57, 374 dollars. The cinematography has been done by Nicolas Bolduc. Truly, the hand-held cinematography has indeed been able to make War Witch a worthwhile and powerful film.
