Lore (2012)

There are so many touches that make lore 2012 the most accomplished film. It is an effecting story of Hannelore who is a German teenager accomplishing her younger sister and three young brothers across Germany during the end of the Second World War.

Their father who is an SS officer is deeply involved in final solution and their complicit mother has escaped. Everything is expressed in lore’s eyes as she directs the children to their grandma’s home in a devastating country Hamburg. During the course of journey, she witnesses death, robbery and poverty and experiences hunger, bewilderment and fear and develops a sense of responsibility.

There is a feeling of a dream brightly but fragmentarily recollected and there is no sentimental ending to the story to suggests it as a healing experience. Though it is not a profound film, the performance of Saskia Rosendahl’s performance has substantial depth as she acts together admirably with her siblings in the film. The movie is a come across story with a mysterious refugee who forces lore to depend on a person whom she always hates and taught to hate.

The story is of high praise and received lots of appreciation from viewers and even awards for its best story and screening.
