Calvin (Dano) of the successful young novelist in his early career. But at present he struggles with writing and in romantic life. In this situation, he creates a character named Ruby (Zoe Kazan) who inspires him. He starts to taste the good experience of love with his created character. With this created female character, he enjoys romance in a most unusual way.
But after a week Calvin find his created love character in person sitting on his couch. He completely gets boggled with this and wonders about the words turned to a breathing living person. The film brings romance in a comic way. It is really thrilling to watch the unexpected comic shots in the film. The film was one of the best comedy entertainers of the year.
