In the movie, we see Dave played by Dylan O'Brien as a high school senior student, who spends most of the time yearning over a girl he just can't have. Aubrey played by Britt Robertson, is a junior student with artistic ambitions, she has a good looking boyfriend who does not quite comprehend her or appear to care for her.
Though they attend different schools, Dave and Aubrey meet with each other at the same party. As, they both go to the open-air to get some air, they meet with each other. A spontaneous conversation sparks off between them, and there is an instant connection. Over the progress of the weekend, things turns romantic, magical and complicated, as well as funny, and Aubrey and Dave discover what it feels like to fall in love for the first time in their lives.
The First time was released in theatres on October 2012. The movie was unable to make much of an impact at the box office though was loved by some class of audiences.
