Like Someone in Love (2012)

Abbas Kiarostami is the director of the Japanese film, “Like Someone in Love”. It is based on the screenplay of Mohammad Rahmani and the director himself. The film released on the theaters of Japan on 2012. Tadashi Okuno, Rin Takanashi, Denden, Mihoko Suzuki, Ryo Kase, Kaneko Kubota and many more cast in the film. Charles Gillibert, Abbas Kiarostami, and Nathanaël Karmitz are the producer of the film. In the 2012 Cannes Film Festival, this film participated in the competition for the title, the Palme d'Or.

                          

The plot of the film moves around the story of a student and her boyfriend, namely Akiko and Noriaki. Akiko works as an escort and Noriaki works in a garage. One day, Akiko was appointed to please Takashi, a professor that took more interest in having a nice dinner instead of having sex.

                       

However, the next morning, Takashi accompanied Akiko on her school where Noriaki considered him as Akiko’s grandfather and offer the proposal of marrying Akiko.
