Savages (2012)

Savages, is an American movie of the genre crime thriller and is directed by Oliver Stone. The film stars Taylor Kitsch, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Blake Lively, Salma Hayek, DemianBichir, John Travolta, and Beniciodel Toro. It was released in 2012 and has runtime of 2 hour and 9 minutes.

The story of the film is about two friends Chon and Ben who grow a variety of marijuana which has wide popularity among customers and has fetched them wealth. The duo receives a video from Lado, an enforcer of a Mexican cartel, who wants them to join the cartel. The duo refuses which leads to the kidnapping of their common girlfriend, Ophelia.

As the story unfolds, it is seen that the duo with the help of a cop gathers information regarding Elena, the cartel leader and tries to free Ophelia. They also discover that Elena's daughter is alive.

The film involves loads of scenes on violence and bloodshed. Lastly the trio fled the country to Indonesia. The film was rated R due to the use of language and depiction of sex, nudity and drug use on screen. The movie has received positive reviews from the critic.
